School Business Manager
Hours: 4 days a week 8.30 -4.30 ( unpaid lunch per day)
The Headteacher and Governing Body of Mitton Manor Primary School are looking to appoint a committed School Business Manager with experience for our successful and dedicated team. Mitton Manor Primary School is a single academy and therefore within this role is the position of Chief Financial Officer. Since converting to Academy status in 2013 good financial systems are already in place but we are looking to appoint a manager to continue to drive and improve efficiencies within the challenges of current budgets. We are looking to develop this role to develop the Academy and drive best practice and cost efficiency.
The applicant will be employed for 30-37 hours per week, term time only. It is expected that as part of the role, holidays are taken outside of term time.
The School Business Manager will be responsible for
- Chief Financial Operations
- Attendance (experience of SIMS essential)
- Finance and Budgeting (Experience of FMS essential)
-Personnel including payroll
- Premises (Health and Safety maintenance)
- Maintenance and application of Safeguarding DBS records
- Maintenance of the website/school communications via Parent Pay
- All other administrative aspects of the role.
The School business manager reports directly to the Headteacher and the Business and Audit committee of the Governing Body. The successful candidate will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and will be instrumental in creating a financially stable school which in turn, leads to better outcomes for our children.

Mitton Manor Primary School is looking to appoint a reliable, proactive, caring and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly staff and be part of our Lunchtime Supervisory Team.
The post is permanent, Monday to Friday for 1 hour between the hours of 12.15pm and 1.15pm. The successful candidate should be able to promote positive relationships, play opportunities and support pupil wellbeing. They should also be able to demonstrate a calm and warm personality, be able to show initiative and be a positive role model for the children.
